Hello Desert Hot Springs!
This month we review our progress on the new city hall and the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony coming up in May, as well as progress on the road improvements and lighting along Palm.
Earlier this month, our city council voted to approve adding a motorcop to our PD targetting traffic violations.
We meet our new Human Rights Committee Chair, Gary Gardner, as he explains the purpose of the Desert Hot Springs Human Rights Committee. If you are interested in participating, please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
We also meet our newly appointed Education Committee Chairs, Allan and Jennifer Arugay, as they share their experiences and welcome you to come join them. You can email them at email@example.com, or like them on Facebook at Education Committee of Desert Hot Springs.
A hear a message from Irene Rodriguez, Executive Director of Cabot’s Pueblo Museum, about their upcoming “Unity Art Installation” and Earth Day events this month between April 20th to April 29th with a closing ceremony from Desert Hot Springs High School Choir on the 29th from 3pm to 4pm.
Exciting news! A Best Western Plus is developing on the corner of Palm and 8th Street, the original location of our first spa in town, Coffee’s Spa.
Finally, this month we dedicated a street to Dr. Brian McDaniel, a local teacher who grew up here in Desert Hot Springs and was recently named “California Teacher of the Year” and went to national championships!
