Mayor Scott Matas City Update 17 - July 2017
Hello Desert Hot Springs!
The Vietnam Moving Wall returned to Desert Hot Springs on June 22nd to June 26th at Mission Springs Park. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
I discuss the new park and street improvements, including the new dog park, improvements at Wadman Park and more to come. As well as the improvements that will be happening along Palm Drive, starting with the medians South of Two Bunch Palms.
We have an update for the city hall improvements.
Keep up with future Town Halls at townhall.scottmatas.com.
We can do one at your HOA, faith-based organization or nonprofit. As many of you know, a tax measure that expires in 2020 will return on the ballot, we discuss why and what this means for our police department.
Finally, we remember a hero in our community that we lost this month, John Furbee. Furbee was a huge supporter of all activities for children, animals, a Rotarian, a business owner, a former planning commissioner, served on MSWD and did much more for our community, including donating the land for the pool now named after him. We miss you, John.
See you next month Desert Hot Springs!
