Desert Hot Springs, California (February 15, 2016) - The City of Desert Hot Springs will be holding its first meeting of Mayor Scott Matas’ Healthy Cities Initiative, Citizens Committee on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM at the Desert Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce Offices.
“A healthy city is based not only on being physically fit. It requires the body, mind and spirit be fit as well. Finding clarity with what we have, what we want and how to work toward achieving those goals is vital for success,” said Committee Chair, Jackie Chatman. Daisy Ramirez with the Riverside County Healthy Living will be joining the meeting to talk about resources and programs already in place to facilitate this at the “This will be a goal and agenda setting meeting to work towards what can be done for the community and citizens of Desert Hot Springs utilizing existing resources,” Chatman added. “Mayor Matas is looking to encompass all of the citizens’ committees to work together to facilitate the sharing of information and ideas that will move us toward an overall, healthier and more vibrant city,” she concluded.
