I am honored to announce that Desert Hot Springs will be sending representatives from our city government to China to develop a relationship with Dalian as a “sister-city”.
The invitation is an opportunity to promote economic
development through understanding and cooperation. This is a perfect way for city officials (Mayor Pro Tem Joe McKee and Planning Commissioner Dirk Voss) and staff (Daniel Porras) to explore other cultures through long-term partnerships and create an atmosphere in which economic and community development can be implemented and strengthened.
None of your tax dollars will be paying for this trip.
We are thrilled to see what opportunities arise from this.
